Terms of Service

By using CrustBot (the "Service") at crustbot.app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

What CrustBot is

CrustBot is a free AI-assisted meal-planning tool. You enter information about your family's preferences and an AI model generates weekly menus and shopping lists tailored to that input. The Service is provided "as is" and may change or stop working at any time.

Not medical or nutritional advice

AI-generated recipes can contain errors, omissions, or unsuitable combinations. Always read them critically. Never feed an ingredient to someone with a known allergy based on an AI suggestion — double-check every dish yourself.

Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU) to create an account.
• Keep your Google account or email access secure — anyone who controls them can sign in as you.
• You're responsible for the information you enter, including family members' names and ages.

Acceptable use

Don't use CrustBot to:

• Abuse, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the Service or its APIs.
• Circumvent rate limits or the daily generation cap (currently 5 AI generations per day).
• Submit content that is illegal, harmful, or designed to trigger harmful AI output.
• Impersonate others or misuse another person's data.

We may throttle or suspend accounts that violate these rules.

AI output

Menus, recipes, and nutrition estimates are produced by a third-party AI model (Google Gemini). We don't review individual outputs. The AI can be wrong, inconsistent, or occasionally produce nonsense. Use your judgement.

You may use the output freely for your own household. We make no claim of ownership over what the AI generates for you, but we also make no warranty that the output is original, accurate, or fit for any purpose.

Third-party services

CrustBot relies on Google (authentication, Gemini AI), Cloudflare (hosting, database), and an email provider. Their terms and outages affect what CrustBot can do. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Free tier and changes

The Service is currently free, with a daily cap on AI generations. We may introduce paid tiers, change limits, or discontinue the Service at any time. We'll give reasonable notice in the app before any change that materially affects paying users, once paid tiers exist.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of AI output, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CrustBot and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any health, nutritional, or food-safety outcomes arising from use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for direct damages will not exceed EUR 50 or the amount you paid for the Service in the last 12 months, whichever is greater. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited (including gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or statutory consumer rights).

Termination

You can delete your data any time via the Reset all button in the app, or request full account deletion by emailing [email protected]. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer residing in the EU, mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence also apply.

Changes to these terms

We'll update the "Last updated" date when these terms change. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the revised terms.
